Miconazole nitrate Usage
- Miconazole nitrate is an antifungal drug, which is the familiar drug commonly used to treat skin ringworm, Dakron. It inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a component of fungal cell membranes, destroys the structure of the cell membrane and increases the permeability of the cell membrane , Leading to the leakage of intracellular components and inhibiting the use of glucose, preventing nutrient uptake, and ultimately causing fungal cell death.
- It is suitable for the treatment of tinea corporis, tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea pedis, tinea versicolor, fungal paronychia, and vaginal infections and secondary caused by yeasts (such as Candida, etc.) and Gram-positive bacteria. Infection is also effective for otitis externa and bacterial skin infections.
- Common adverse reactions and side effects of miconazole nitrate include: occasional allergies, blisters, burning sensation, hyperemia, itching, or other skin irritation symptoms. Angioedema, urticaria, eczema, contact dermatitis, erythema, pelvic pain (spasm), vaginal irritation, vaginal discharge, and discomfort at the administration site are very rare.
