Description of HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE
HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE or cyclohexane-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexol is a chemical compound with formula C6H12O6 or (-CHOH-)6, a six-fold alcohol (polyol) of cyclohexane. It exists in nine possible stereoisomers, of which the most prominent form, widely occurring in nature, is cis-1,2,3,5-trans-4,6-cyclohexanehexol, or myo-HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE (former names meso-HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE or i-HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE). HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE is a sugar alcohol. Its taste has been assayed at half the sweetness of table sugar (sucrose).
myo-HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE plays an important role as the structural basis for a number of secondary messengers in eukaryotic cells, the various HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE phosphates. In addition, HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE serves as an important component of the structural lipids phosphatidylHEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE (PI) and its various phosphates, the phosphatidylHEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE phosphate (PIP) lipids.
HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE or its phosphates and associated lipids are found in many foods, in particular fruit, especially cantaloupe and oranges. In plants, the hexaphosphate of HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE, phytic acid or its salts, the phytates, are found. These serve as phosphate stores in the seed. Phytic acid occurs also in cereals with high bran content and also nuts and beans. Yet, HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE, when present as phytate, is not directly bioavailable to humans in the diet, since it is not digestible. Some food preparation techniques partly break down phytates to change this. HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE as it occurs in certain plant-derived substances such as lecithins, however, is well-absorbed and relatively bioavailable.
myo-HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE (free of phosphate) was once considered a member of the vitamin B complex (formerly Vitamin B8); however, because it is produced by the human body from glucose, it is not an essential nutrient. Some substances such as niacin can also be synthesized in the body, but are not made in amounts considered adequate for good health, thus are still classified as essential nutrients. However, no convincing evidence indicates this is the case for myo-HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE.

What is Inositol?
- With the progress of science and technology and the development of society, chemical products have invariably permeated our daily lives, in medicine, food, cosmetics, electronics, industry, and other areas, becoming an essential part of our lives. One such product is Inositol which has developed particularly rapidly in recent years. Do you know about HEXAHYDROCYCLOHEXANE?
- The official answer:Inositol, also known as cyclohexahexanol, hexahydroxycyclohexane, cyclohexanositol, carnosine, and non-spin inositol, is one of the B vitamins. There are nine isomers, seven of which are non-spin and two are spin (levorotatory and dextrorotatory), depending on the orientation of the hydroxyl group relative to the ring plane. In nature, it exists in free or bound form in all biological tissues and is a common component in animal and plant cells, which can be synthesized by microorganisms in the digestive tract and participate in sugar and lipid metabolism in the body. In animals, it exists mainly in the form of phosphatidylinositol, and is most abundant in brain marrow, heart muscle, and skeletal muscle; in plants, it exists mainly in the form of phosphatidylinositol and can combine with calcium, zinc, and iron to form insoluble compounds that interfere with their digestion and absorption. When animals lack inositol in their diets, hair loss occurs and development is affected. Inositol is related to intracellular calcium metabolism, and its triphosphate derivatives can be released from lipid conjugates after cell stimulation, acting as second messengers, mobilizing intracellular calcium ions, and regulating many cellular activities, such as secretion, metabolism, phototransduction, and cell division.
What’s the application of Inositol?
- It is used as a food fortification agent and has a similar effect to vitamin B1. It can be used in infant and young children’s food, the use amount is 210~250mg/kg; the use amount in drinking liquid is 25~30mg/kg. use inositol is a necessary vitamin for lipid metabolism in the body, can promote the absorption of vitamin drugs and hypolipidemic drugs, promote the metabolism of fat and cell growth in liver and other tissues, used in the auxiliary treatment of fatty liver and high blood lipid. It is widely used in food and feed additives. It is often added to fish, shrimp, and livestock feed. Dosage 350-500mg/kg. use This product is one of the vitamin B complexes, can promote cell metabolism, improve the role of cell nutrition, can help growth and development, enhance appetite, restore physical strength. It can also stop the accumulation of fat in the liver and accelerate the removal of excess fat in the heart and has a synergistic lipotropic effect with choline, so it is used for the treatment of hepatic lipid prevention excess disease and liver cirrhosis. It can be used in infant food and fortified beverages at a dosage of 380-790mg/kg according to the “Hygienic Standards for the Use of Food Fortification Agents (1993)” issued by the Ministry of Health of China. vitamin drugs and lipid-lowering drugs to promote fat metabolism in the liver and other tissues, and is used in the adjuvant treatment of fatty liver and hyperlipidemia. It is widely used in food and beverage additives. Inositol is widely used in medicine, the chemical industry, food, etc. It has a curative effect on the liver ulcer and vascular sclerosis and can be used as the raw material of high-grade cosmetics, which has high economic value. Uses: Used as a biochemical reagent, also used in pharmaceutical and organic synthesis, lower cholesterol; sedative effect
