2. Ethidium bromide is the raw material for the manufacture of barbiturates. It is also used as a refrigerant, anesthetic, solvent, fumigant, organic synthesis, etc.
3. Used as an analytical reagent, e.g. as a solvent, refractive index standard sample. Also used in organic synthesis and as a fire extinguishing agent in the aviation industry.
