What Is N-Formylmorpholine?

It is clear yellow liquid also known as Formmorpholime, Morpholine, 4-formyl- and N-Formylmorfolin.

N-Formylmorpholine Application

  1. Desulfurization of natural gas, syngas, flue gas, natural gas condensate and gasoline.
  2. It is currently the most widely used solvent for recovering aromatics. After dissolving aromatics by N-formylmorpholine, it can greatly reduce the volatility of aromatics and improve the separation coefficient between aromatics and non-aromatics. Therefore, it is widely used in aromatics (such as Benzene, toluene, xylene, etc.) and paraffin hydrocarbon, butene, methyl ethyl ketone extraction and other processes, can make refined benzene purity up to 99.99%, toluene purity up to 99.7%, xylene purity up to 99.0%, and less solvent consumption, no Need to add pH adjusting agent, which has the outstanding advantages of no corrosion to equipment, energy saving and low environmental pollution.
  3. N-formylmorpholine can be used as a catalyst in the foaming industry of polyester plastics and as a formylation reagent in the field of fine chemicals.
  4. Used as a solvent for drug synthesis reactions in the pharmaceutical industry, and all have particularly excellent properties and are also important raw materials for the synthesis of drug intermediates.
