Description of Tantalic acid anhydride
- Tantalum pentoxide, also known as tantalum(V) oxide, is the inorganic compound with the formula Ta 2O 5. It is a white solid that is insoluble in all solvents but is attacked by strong bases and hydrofluoric acid. Ta 2O 5 is an inert material with a high refractive index and low absorption (i.e. colourless), which makes it useful for coatings. It is also extensively used in the production of capacitors, due to its high dielectric constant.

What is Mannitol?
- With the progress of science and technology and the development of society, chemical products have invariably permeated our daily lives, in medicine, food, cosmetics, electronics, industry, and other areas, becoming an essential part of our lives. One such product is Tantalum pentoxide which has developed particularly rapidly in recent years. Do you know about Tantalum pentoxide?
- The official answer:Diamond-shaped column. Relative density 8.2. Melting point 1872℃±10℃. Soluble in molten potassium bisulfate and hydrofluoric acid, insoluble in water and other acids. Tantalum pentoxide is also known as “tantalic anhydride”, a white rhombohedral crystal. It is chemically stable, resistant to common acids and bases, and is not attacked by hydrogen chloride or hydrogen bromide when heated. Eutectic fusion with hydroxide or carbonate of alkali metal can give the corresponding insoluble tantalate, and washing with water will generate hydrated tantalum pentoxide precipitate.
What’s the application of Mannitol?
- Tantalum pentoxide is used in the preparation of tantalum metal, optical glass, electronic instruments, and intermediates of tantalum carbide. It is used for pulling lithium tantalate single crystal and manufacturing high refraction and low dispersion special optical glass and can be used as a catalyst in the chemical industry. Used in the production of lithium tantalate crystals and special optical glass additives.
