Description of TGS
Sucralose is a non-nutritive sweetener. The majority of ingested sucralose is not broken down by the body, so it is noncaloric. In the European Union, it is also known under the E number E955. Sucralose is about 320 to 1,000 times sweeter than sucrose, three times as sweet as aspartame and twice as sweet as saccharin. It is stable under heat and over a broad range of pH conditions. Therefore, it can be used in baking or in products that require a longer shelf life. The commercial success of sucralose-based products stems from its favorable comparison to other low-calorie sweeteners in terms of taste, stability, and safety. Common brand names of sucralose-based sweeteners are Splenda, Zerocal, Sukrana, SucraPlus, Candys, Cukren, and Nevella.

What is TGS?
- With the progress of science and technology and the development of society, chemical products have invariably permeated our daily lives, in medicine, food, cosmetics, electronics, industry, and other areas, becoming an essential part of our lives. One such product is Sucralose which has developed particularly rapidly in recent years. Do you know about Sucralose?
- The official answer: Sucralose, commonly known as sucralose, is a high-frequency sweetener with the molecular formula C12H19Cl3O8. It is highly stable to light, heat, and pH. It is highly soluble in water, methanol and ethanol, and slightly soluble in ether. the pH of 10% aqueous solution is 5~8.[1] It was developed and patented by Tate & Lyle and the University of London in 1976, and put on the market in 1988.
- It is the only functional sweetener made of sucralose, with the original trade name Splenda, and can reach the sweetness of sucrose about 600 times ( 400~800 times). Sucralose is characterized by no energy, high sweetness, pure sweetness, high safety and is one of the most desirable sweeteners.
What’s the application of TGS?
Non-nutritive sweeteners, widely used in beverage, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, etc. Since sucralose is a new non-nutritive sweetener and an ideal food additive for patients with obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, Chemicalbook, its application in health food and medicine is expanding. In recent years, some medical studies have used it as a tracer molecule for the determination of colonic permeability, using methods mostly meteorological chromatography analysis. The sensitivity and specificity have yet to be further investigated.
