After adding the reaction with stirring for 2 hours, then quenched by adding 23% aqueous sodium sulfite, stirred, and divided the liquid, the organic phase was washed once more with 13% aqueous sodium sulfite and concentrated to obtain 1.38Kg of crude product (trans-1,2-epoxymimonene 46% purity, yield over 100%; cis-1,2-epoxymimonene: trans-1,2-epoxymimonene = 1:1). cis- Isolimonenol ((1S,4R)-p-Mentha-2,8-dien-1-ol) is a chemical constituent of essential oil.
