What is humic acid?
- Humic acid is a complex mixture of natural organic polymer compounds. Black or dark brown amorphous powder, slightly soluble in water and acidic, soluble in hot concentrated nitric acid and dark red. It reacts with alkali solution to generate soluble humate.
- It has dispersing and emulsifying effects. Because it contains carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and other elements, but also contains hydroxyl, carbonyl, carboxyl, quinone, methoxy and aromatic nucleus and other active groups, it has weak acidity, hydrophilicity, complexability, redox Sex, ion exchange and physiological activity.
- According to its formation process, it is divided into primary humic acid and regenerated humic acid. According to the difference of its solubility and color, it can be divided into black humic acid or humic acid (dissolved in alkaline solution), brown humic acid or lemnic acid (dissolved in acetone and ethanol), xanthophyric acid or fulvic acid (dissolved in water) . Exist in soil humus and low rank coal. It is formed by the partial decomposition of plant residues in the presence of air and water. Can be extracted from peat, lignite or some soils.
Humic Acid Usage
- It is used as a high-temperature filter-reducing agent for freshwater drilling fluids, and has a viscosity-reducing effect. However, salt resistance is poor.
- Used as fertilizer (plant regulator) and soil acid conditioner.
- Used as medicine and health care products.
