What is (+)-Dipentene?

(+)-Dipentene’s optically non-rotatory racemate is called dipentene. Colorless liquid. Can be mixed with most oils. Has a pleasant lemon-like aroma, without camphor and turpentine odor.

(+)-Dipentene Usage

This product is mainly used as a blending flavor of citrus essential oils such as orange oil, lemon oil, neroli oil, etc.

Identification (+)-Dipentene

(1) Take 1 drop of this product, add 3 to 5 drops of sulfuric acid and a small amount of vanillin crystals, that is, orange-red, and purple after 1 drop of water.

(2) In the chromatogram recorded under the determination of limonene content, the retention time of the test peak should be consistent with the retention time of the main peak of the reference substance.
