Chromotropic acid Usage
Used as intermediate of dyes.
Spectrophotometric determination of serine content
- As one of the 18 basic amino acids, L-serine has many important physiological functions and functions. L-serine is widely used in the preparation of compound amino acid infusions, especially third-generation amino acid infusions and nutritional supplements, and is used to synthesize a variety of serine derivatives, including anti-cancer, anti-AIDS drugs and genetically engineered protected amino acids.
- This method uses serine to react with chromotropic acid after being oxidized by sodium periodate under certain pH conditions. The product has a maximum absorbance at 570 nm, and the absorbance has a linear relationship with the content of serine. The results showed that serine showed a good linear relationship (r = 0.9973) in the range of 0-1.0 g.L-1, with an average sample recovery rate of 100.30% and an RSD of 1.11%. Comparing the measurement results with the high-performance liquid phase measurement results, the agreement rate of the two methods reaches 99% to 101%. Chromotropic acid-spectrophotometry is easy to operate and accurate.
