Carboplatin Usage

A second generation platinum complex antitumor agent. The anti-tumor spectrum and anti-tumor activity are similar to cisplatin, but the water solubility is better than cisplatin, and the toxicity to kidney is lower. It has better efficacy in small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, head and neck squamous cancer, testicular tumor, malignant lymphoma, etc. In addition, it can also be used in cervical cancer and bladder cancer.
The second generation platinum-based anticancer drugs, whose effects and uses are basically the same as those of cisplatin. It is more active than cisplatin in some tumors and is stronger than cisplatin as a radiosensitizer under hypoxic conditions. It is mainly used in ovarian cancer, testicular cancer, small cell lung cancer and head and neck cancer.
New second-generation platinum-based anticancer drugs, which are comparable in activity to cisplatin and have similar biochemical properties and activity profiles, are significantly less toxic than cisplatin uses Carboplatin is a platinum-based anticancer drug that damages DNA by forming intra-strand couplings to neighboring guanine residues. The antitumor of these drugs is achieved through the activity of mismatch repair loss of DNA (MMR vaccine) and the induction of programmed cell death
