Candelilla wax refers to a brown plant wax derived from a grass grown in Texas and Mexico. It is second only to carnauba wax in hardness, with a melting temperature between 67 ° C and 71 ° C. Like carnauba wax, candelilla wax is used to increase the hardness of the wax when mixed with other ingredients, but its hardening effect is obviously not as good as carnauba wax.
