• Bisphenol S (BPS) is an organic compound with the formula (HOC6H4)2SO2. It has two phenol functional groups on either side of a sulfonyl group. It is commonly used in curing fast-drying epoxy resin adhesives. It is a bisphenol, and a close analog of bisphenol A (BPA) in which the dimethylmethylene group (C(CH3)2) is replaced with a sulfone group (SO2).

• 4,4′-Dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone is mainly used as a color fixing agent. In addition, it can be used as an additive for plating solution, leather tanning agent, dispersant for high-temperature dyeing of disperse dyes, hardening accelerator for phenolic resin, flame retardant for resin, etc… It is also an intermediate for pesticides, dyestuffs, and auxiliaries. As a substitute for bisphenol A, it can be used as a raw material for polycarbonate, epoxy resin, polyester, and phenolic resin, as well as raw material for polysulfone and polyethersulfone. The product is also used in the manufacture of color photographic materials, photographic contrast enhancers, thermal recording materials (color developer), daily surfactants and efficient deodorants, etc. Bisphenol S can be used as raw material to make color fixing agent A (foreign trade name CibatexPA). Uses have excellent heat resistance, light resistance, and oxidation resistance, is the synthesis of polycarbonate, epoxy resin and polysulfone, polyether inkstone resin raw materials. Bisphenol S can also be used to synthesize dyestuff fixing agent, leather tanning agent, can also be used as an additive, dyestuff, medicine, pesticides, additives, and other intermediates.
