Description of Bt1010
Didecyldimethylammonium chloride is an antiseptic/disinfectant that is used in many biocidal applications. They cause disruption of intermolecular interactions and dissociation of lipid bilayers. They are broad spectrum bactericidal and fungicidal and can be used as disinfectant cleaner for linen, recommended for use in hospitals, hotels and industries. It is also used in gynaecology, surgery, ophthalmology, pediatrics, OT, and for the sterilization of surgical instruments, endoscopes and surface disinfection.
In mice this disinfectant was found to cause infertility and birth defects.

- ②In the presence of a catalyst, the amination reaction is carried out by n-decanol with a mixture of hydrogen and methylamine gas to produce bis-decyl methyl tertiary amine first. Then in the pressure kettle, add bis-decyl methyl tertiary amine, a small amount of sodium carbonate and Chemicalbook appropriate amount of isopropanol, after replacing the air with nitrogen, heating to 80 ~ 90 ℃, pass into the chloromethane, pressure 0.3 ~ 0.5MPa, reaction 3 ~ 4h to get bis-decyl dimethyl ammonium chloride products.
