The role of Dimethyl phthalate
As a plasticizer, Dimethyl phthalate can be combined with diethyl phthalate to make cellulose acetate film, varnish, transparent paper and molding powder, and a small amount can be used to make nitrocellulose. Dimethyl phthalate can also be used as a solvent for mosquito repellent oil (crude oil), polyvinyl fluoride paint and DDT.
